Mr. Prescott, per Kevin's advice, resigns from his position as her butler. Realizing that their relationship was built on infatuation rather than love and was affecting his responsibilities as a husband and father, Peter breaks up with Natalie, and reconciles with Kate and their children. Grateful to Kevin for his foiling of the kidnapping plot, the royals spend Christmas with the newly-reunited McCallisters, devastating Natalie as Kevin and Prescott give the commands for music to play and snow to fall.

Kevin notices his old nemesis, Marv Murchins, and his wife, Vera, scouting the house. After failing to get Mr. Prescott's attention via the intercom, he drives them away by flooding the mansion. When Peter and Natalie return, they refuse to believe Kevin's explanation, especially since Mr. Prescott claims to have seen nothing.
Home Alone is primarily a coming-of-age story about an 8-year-old boy named Kevin McCallister . He is the youngest of five children who is frequently tormented by his older brothers and sisters. After events transpire between him and his family, he wishes that he had no family when his mother is punishing him for what he feels are unjustified reasons. She warns him to be careful what he wishes for and he ignores it. He wakes up the next day to discover that he is the only one left in the house. He thinks his wish came true and that he is finally alone without his obnoxious family.

Columbus was later able to get in touch with Steven Spielberg, who helped him contact John Williams to produce the final score. Traditional Christmas songs, such as "O Holy Night" and "Carol of the Bells", are featured prominently in the film, as well as the film's theme song "Somewhere in My Memory". Beaupre's group are shown to have contracted Alex's chickenpox during their mugshots. Eight-year-old Alex Pruitt is given the remote control car by Mrs. Hess for shoveling her driveway. He returns home and discovers that he has chickenpox and must stay out of school.

You may know it as the toy store that Ton Hanks goes to in “Big.” While it wasn’t a real store, all of the kids in the toy store scene shot there were allowed to keep one toy as a memento. Columbus, having gotten his scenes shot, originally had hoped to cut Trump’s cameo from the movie. Then, during a test screening, audiences cheered when he showed up, which saved his appearance.
An injury had occurred between Pesci and Culkin during one of the rehearsals for the scene in which Harry tries to bite off Kevin's finger. Still, Home Sweet Home Alone isn’t telling the exact same story as the original film. Disney has revealed that the villains of the new movie will actually be a married couple and that they infiltrate the Mercer home not just for a general robbery, but to steal a valuable family heirloom. It sounds like the Home Alonereboot will have plenty of opportunities for some thematic parallels between the Mercer’s and the intruding family, which could add an extra layer of narrative complexity to an otherwise familiar story. Thanks to Disney, those fans may finally be getting their Christmas wishes granted.
